CounsellingAbout 80 counsellors of various fields are in the capital to discuss, exchange ideas and develop ethical standards for counseling. The two day bi-annual counselling conference which concluded today saw discussion on the treatment of trauma, and the use of strength-based approaches with children and adolescents.

The conference also saw dialogue on the benefits of practicing mindfulness by counsellors and the power of deep listening. The conference was organised by RENEW and various stakeholders with funds from the National Board of Certified Counsellors USA, and the UNICEF.
