Certified-CounselorsRealising the important role of counseling in addressing the mental health issues in the community, Bhutan Board for Certified Counsellors will soon be established in the country.

To this effect a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday. It was signed by Her Majesty the Queen Mother Sangay Choden Wangchuck and the stakeholders of the Bhutan Board for Certified Counselors.

The Board will help professionalise counseling in Bhutan in order to have qualified professionals who can give counseling on any issues that are prevailing in Bhutan.

The establishment of Bhutan Board for certifying counselors will be an independent agency for registration and certification of counseling professionals

RENEW in collaboration with the National Board for Certified Counselors, USA, will be facilitating the establishment of the board until it comes into existence and start functioning independently.
