A fire destroyed a single-storey house at Dangchhu Thama under Ruebisa Gewog, behind the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, yesterday morning.
Two families and the house owner lost all their belongings to the fire. According to the house owner, the fire might have started from their kitchen.
Firefighters, Police, Royal Bhutan Army and locals are still battling the fire.
Meanwhile, the Gewog Administration is managing a temporary shelter for the victims
