The Interim Government will complete its mandated period of 90 days tomorrow.
His Majesty the King will soon command the Party, which has won the majority of seats in the National Assembly, to form the government and confer Dakyen on the leader of the majority party as the Prime Minister of Bhutan.
A press release also states that the Chief Advisor, Lyonpo Sonam Tobgye, has communicated with the External Affairs Minister of India, and the Indian Ambassador to Bhutan to reconsider the withdrawal of subsidies. It says Government of India will be looking into reversing the decision on withdrawal of subsidies on LPG and kerosene.
