To further promote electoral practices in the region, a joint communiqué has been signed. The Chief Election Commissioner of Bhutan, Dasho Kunzang Wangdi, and the Chief Election Commissioner of India, V. S. Sampath signed the joint communiqué last evening in the capital.
V. S. Sampath also lauded the Election Commission of Bhutan for smooth conduct of elections. The Indian Chief Election Commissioner was in the capital for four days to observe the general elections.
