(Update) The Regional Manager and Driver of NRDCL office in Samdrup Jongkhar were released unharmed this morning. The duo was abducted two weeks ago from Assam, India while on their way to Gelegphu from Samdrup Jongkhar.
According to family members, the victims were released after they paid an undisclosed amount as ransom. They were found at the border, one and a half kilometres away from the Gelegphu- Sarpang highway at around 5 am.
