PDP-Bribery-YangtseThe Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s (DPT) Dzongkhag Coordinator has filed a complaint to the Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag against Nidup Zangpo, who happens to be one of the Gewog Coordinators of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Nidup Zangpo, the complaint letter says, was trying to buy vote by offering Kencho Wangmo of Yangtse Gewog Nu. 2,500. The incident is supposed to have happened during one of the door-to-door campaigns of the PDP.

Kencho Wangmo’s father had then reported the matter to the DPT office. The Dispute Settlement Body in Yangtse is investigating the case. The findings will be forwarded to the Central Dispute Settlement Body in Thimphu.
