Budhini-BridgeVehicles and people stranded on the both side of Budhini Bridge in Samtse, were able to leave for their destination, by 7 pm yesterday.

The traffic opened yesterday evening after the old bridge was renovated just so, as a temporary measure. Police personnel along with the labourers worked through the afternoon to put a deck on the old bridge.

The rain-fed swollen Budhini River had washed away the temporary bridge yesterday. The temporary bridge had been constructed, below the older bridge, for the lighter vehicles.

Budhini Bridge is almost three kilometre away from Samtse town.
