TVET-training-EndsThe Technical Vocational Educational and Training (TVET) project formally concluded today. The project was launched in 2008 to strengthen quality of Technical Vocational Educational and Training Institutes in Bhutan.

Supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the five-year project rendered support to the Technical Training Institutes in Khuruthang and Rangjung. The project has also provided technical support to six other vocational and technical institutes.

The project has also helped in capacity building through training of trainers and procurement of the tools and equipment for the institutes.TVET-training-Ends.

To mark the successful completion of the Technical Vocational Educational and Training project, the JICA office in Bhutan handed over a Honda CVR car and a Toyota Hilux to the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources.

The cars will be used for the benefit of the Technical Training Institutes.
