A father, his daughter and brother-in-law have died of mushroom poisoning at the national referral hospital in Thimphu.
While the father and the daughter died this morning, the brother-in-law died in the afternoon.
They were brought to the National Referral hospital early yesterday morning from Samtse hospital.
The mother, who is said to be in a critical condition, is still being treated. She is at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
The family from Ugyentse gewog consumed wild mushroom for dinner last Friday.
The next morning they were admitted to Samtse hospital after they started vomiting.
Upon the command of His Majesty the King, Gyalpoi Zimpon’s office has provided semso and logistical help to the affected family.
