Team Wizards wins basketball championship

wizard-A-division-basketball-champion,Wizards are the winners of the first ever A division basketball championship. The team defeated Phojas by nine and a half baskets in the finals played, yesterday. The final match took place at the YDF indoor basketball court in Thimphu.

Along with the winner’s trophy, Wizards took home a cash prize of thirty thousand ngultrum, while Phojas won twenty thousand ngultrum and the runners- up trophy.wizard-A-division-basketball-champion

The basketball Champions will now represent Bhutan at the SAARC Regional Club tournament.

The top six basketball teams participated in the A-league tournament, organised by Bhutan Basketball Federation.
