The Lhuentse District Court has issued an arrest warrant for the Bhutan Star organiser, Nidup Dorji. The arrest warrant was issued after the organiser failed to appear before the Court despite being summoned three times.
Nidup Dorji was summoned before the Court after he failed to give away a car that he had promised for the winner of the show Bhutan Star Season three.
He has a High Court order stating that he be present in Thimphu for another case that he is fighting against his marketing partner in the Thimphu District Court.
Nidup Dorji says the High Court order is still valid because his case with his marketing partner is not over yet.
