Lilly Yangchen, the winner of the “Youth Reporter Project” received an invitation from Olympic Council of Asia to report on the second Asian Youth Games at Nanjing in China.
The invitation was formally handed over by the Secretary General of Bhutan Olympic Committee, today.
Lilly Yangchen,from Lungtenzampa Middle Secondary School had competed in the Youth Reporter Project open competition. She had bagged the top slot among 200 students. The competition was held in Thimphu in February this year.
Before she begins reporting, Lilly Yangchen will be trained at Nanjing. She will also attend the workshop for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games to be held in Korea.
The expenses will be borne by the Olympic Council of Asia. Lilly Yangchen, accompanied by an escort, will leave in August.
