Paro Forestry officials intercepted another illegal timber transaction, today. A Bolero pick-up truck was caught by the officials at around 3.30 am in Doteng Gewog. The person apprehended is a repeated offender who was also fined in 2012.
According to the forestry officials, he intended to sell the Blue Pine planks to a furniture house. This is the fourth such case this month.
