Trucks transporting timbers illegally intercepted

IllegalSmuggling-TimberParo Forestry officials have seized two trucks that were transporting timber, illegally. The two trucks were caught on Saturday and Sunday at around 9 pm and 8:pm. Forestry officials said the offenders will be fined according to the amount of the illegal timber.

The offenders are said to be villagers, who were carrying the wood for personal use.

Twenty two cases of illegal timber transactions have already been caught by Paro Forestry officials this year.
