A forest fire above the Changjiji area has damaged about a 100 acres of forest.
The fire broke out at 4:30 in the evening, some 20 metres above the old highway. It was contained by 6:30PM by firefighters, armed force personnel, volunteers, and Desuups.
The head of the forest fire management section, Tandin Dorji, said they do not know how the fire was started, but eye witnesses had informed them that three boys were spotted in the area lighting the fire.
