Thailand’s Immigration has introduced a new Digital Arrival Card system. It is now mandatory for all non-Thai nationals entering the country, whether by land, sea, or air, to comply with this system. It will be implemented from next month.
Bhutanese travelers visiting Thailand for education, medical care, business, or leisure are now required to complete the Digital Arrival Card before entering Thailand.
The Thai Digital Arrival Card was introduced mainly to replace the traditional paper-based arrival form, aiming to accelerate immigration processing, reduce paperwork, and strengthen border security.
Travelers must fill out and submit the digital form within three days before arriving in Thailand.
The required details include passport, personal details, flight details, purpose of visit, and accommodation information of the travelers.
Upon arrival, travelers must present the acknowledgment email and travel documents to immigration officers for verification.
Entry to Thailand will not be processed without prior submission of the Thai Digital Arrival Card.
Thai Authorities are urging all travelers to complete the requirement to avoid inconveniences.
Some 25,000 Bhutanese travel to Thailand every year.
