The Yonphula Recovery School will be ready in about two months. The school will offer a structured rehabilitation programme alongside academic education, ensuring students receive necessary care and continued learning opportunities. According to Education Minister, Yeezang De Thapa, the police have apprehended 400 students for substance use, while school counsellors have identified 1,500 students in schools for substance use. The minister said that the ministry will assess the severity of each case to identify students to be enrolled in the rehabilitation school. The minister added that the schools are working to reintegrate students recovering from substance use.
