Bhutan’s Medical and Health Professionals Council has advised a man called Ugyen Wangchuk to temporarily refrain from providing therapy services at Dadgari in India’s Assam state.

The man is allegedly providing neuropathy therapy through a firm called Indo-Bhutan Therapy Center although he is not registered with the council.

The council has collected his training certificate for authentication.

The council urges people to refrain from seeking medical services from unauthorised and unqualified individuals.

The council also says that it is not going to entertain any complaint regarding complications occurring after seeking medical services from such individuals.

Though the clinic is located outside the country, the firm has been found promoting its services in Dzongkha, supposedly targeting Bhutanese clients.

He claimed that the firm is owned by an Indian individual based in Delhi and that he is only an employee.

The council has asked him to produce his original diploma certificate and mark sheet from the Neeraj Neuropathy Institute of India, from where he claimed to have completed a yearlong diploma course in neuropathy last year.

The man has agreed to refrain from providing services since yesterday.
