The Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body conferred dhar to Tashi Dorji, the new vice principal of Sangchen Chokhor Buddhist College in Punakha today.
Prior to his present post, the 38-year-old from Guma in Punakha served as a Royal Sungkhorp in Thimphu.
He joined the monk body at the age of nine and graduated from the Tango University of Buddhist Studies.
He completed his three-year retreat at Chizhi Goenpa in Thimphu.
