His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen arrived in the capital this evening. Their Majesties were on tour to the southern parts of the country since November 14.
While returning from Dagana yesterday, His Majesty and the Gyaltsuen visited Punatsangchhu Hydropower Project Phase II site and the new highway tunnel which is currently under construction.
This morning, Their Majesties visited dam site of the project.
His Majesty and the Gyaltsuen not only visited the power house and other sites of the project but also met with the officials and workers there.
During the visit at the site, the Economic Affairs minister, Khandu Wangchuk also accompanied His Majesty the King.
As southern tour, His Majesty and the Gyaltsuen visited Phuentsholing, Samtse, Lhamoizingkha, Gelephu and Dagana.
