Works to construct a steel modular bridge over Gongri Chhu at Kuri-Gongri Confluence started yesterday. Works are carried out by foreign and Bhutanese bridge experts. The bridge will be able to carry up to 50 metric tonnes.

Works are expected to be completed by the end of next month. Materials worth around Nu 46 M have been bought to reconstruct the bridge. The bridge collapsed twice last year.
