Since the second abduction case, rumours of abduction, extortion and assault are going viral in Sarpang dzongkhag.

There have been rumours of a passenger bus coming from Thimphu being robbed, a few kilometres before reaching Gelephu. Rumours of another taxi driver and a girl being kidnapped have also gone rife.

The latest is rumour is that a woman from Singgye Gewog was found with her throat slit open.

Meanwhile, the Sarpang police have charge sheeted a man from Singgye Gewog to court for giving false information. The man had claimed that he was robbed off Nu.5,000 on November 4.

The claim was made a day after a woman from the same gewog was assaulted in Hilley Jungle by an unknown assailant. He told the police the crime took place in the same place.

Suspicious, police called the man for interrogation for the second time. That was when the man revealed that he had lied to the police. The man said he had finished the money on alcohol so he lied as he was afraid of his wife.

He will be charged for petty misdemeanor, which carries a sentence of one month to one year.

In the video clip we have the Sarpang Police Superintendent, Lieutenant Colonel Phub Dorji laying the rumours to rest.
