A man in late 30s was attacked by a wild boar yesterday in Berti village around noon in Tingtibi under Trong gewog in Zhemgang.
The incident occurred while he was grazing cattle in the forest.
Some passerby brought him to the Yabilaptsha hospital where he was treated with first aid and then refereed to JDWHR hospital in Thimphu.
Health officials of Yabilaptsha hospital said man had to be referred to Thimphu Hospital because he sustained severe cuts on his back which required immediate surgeries.
