The Monk and The Gun, a movie directed by Druk Thuksey recipient Pawo Choyning Dorji has been making rounds across the globe. At the Jio Mumbai Film Festival in India, the movie was awarded the IMDb Audience Choice Award, yesterday. IMDb Audience Choice Award is one of the prestigious awards, which highlights the film’s exceptional ability to captivate and engage audiences. The recognition also shows the movie’s ability to connect with the viewers. The director, Pawo Choyning Dorji, says that it is a huge honour for Bhutanese and the Bhutanese film industry to be chosen by audiences as their favourite film from a selection of 250 films from around the world.

As the movie entices viewers worldwide, BBS caught up with the monk himself. Of course without the gun. Here is Tandin Wangchuk, one of the lead actors from the film with our reporter, Tashi Deker.
