Taxi Driver goes missing

A taxi driver is believed to have been kidnapped at Dekiling in Gelephu. The incident took place at around 6:30 to 7 pm yesterday. The taxi driver, 30, who was driving a Santro car, was heading towards Gelephu from Sarpang.

Police in Gelephu said trees and big boulders were laid on the road, blocking any movement of the vehicles.

Sources said there were no other passengers in the taxi.

The police was informed about the incident by a DCM driver. The taxi was following the DCM when the incident took place.

The driver who is in his late thirties is from Tsirang and is settled in Gelephu.

The case is under investigation.
