The champions are finally home. The senior men’s national basketball team was warmly welcomed in the country after winning the Five Nation Championship in style. The team arrived in Thimphu at around 7 pm carrying the coveted trophy. They were received by their families, the members of the Basketball Federation of Bhutan, and audiences at the Swimming Pool Complex. The Bhutan Insurance Limited handed out the players cash prizes as a token of appreciation. Earlier today, officials from the Bhutan Olympic Committee, Department of Air Transport along with basketball enthusiasts welcomed the team in a special reception ceremony at Paro International Airport.
