His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen graced the third day of Tshechu in Wangduephodrang today. The Tshechu was held at Tencholing Military training center ground after the Wangduephodrang Dzong was lost to the fire in June this year.

The locals presented tshogchang to their Majesties. His Majesty the King also offered prayers at the newly constructed Dukhang which was reconstructed recently. Also present at the Tsehchu were the representatives from Rabdey and the local governments.

His Majesty the King has been visiting Wangduephodrang regularly since the devastating fire in June.

Even though the Tshechu was held in a different place, thousands came for the festival.  Most of the materials used for Tshechu were lost in the fire. Today the dancers wore new dresses for the festival adding new colour and vigour to the festival.
