At the joint sitting of the parliament today, the Opposition Leader sought updates from the Prime Minister about the government’s plan to introduce electric train services in the country. According to the Opposition Leader, the Prime Minister shared the plan with the people during his national address on 21st February 2020.

Lyonchhen responded that the pandemic halted the plan from culminating into reality. But it will be included under the transportation service, which is being prioritised in the 13th Five-Year Plan.
