A herd of elephants damaged a storehouse at Samdrupling Demkhong in Gelephu Thromde last night. The elephants ate two sacks of rice from the storehouse. However, there are no reports of casualties as forest officials and nearby residents chased the tuskers before they caused more damage.

Samdrupling demkhong is about three kilometres from Gelephu town.

This is the third incident of elephant attack on properties and humans in the last two months.
