A child, four students and a teacher of Ramjar Lower Secondary School in Trashiyangtse were tested positive for influenza A. The confirmation came after the health staff from Trashiyangtse hospital tested 12 blood samples from 90 people who had come to hospital with flu like symptoms. Of the four students, one was tested for influenza A from Trashigang hospital.
Meanwhile, of the three samples tested from 60 cases of flu like symptoms reported from Tongzang Gewog in Trashiyangtse, one was tested positive for influenza A today.
Our reporter in Trashigang, Pema Namgay, says all those tested positive are in stable condition and the situation is being monitored closely.
