His Holiness the Je Khenpo consecrated a Zhabdrung Daknangmi Thongdrel at the Tashichoedzong, today.
The Thongdrel measuring 31Ft long and 34Ft wide is being offered as one of the main relics for Taktse Lhakhang in Trongsa. The Thongdrel costing more than Nu 2.9 M was made with contributions from the people of three villages of Taktse, Uesar and Tashi Dingkha.
Lam Yeshi Dorji of Taktse Lhakhang said the Thongdrel was made to pay homage to Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel and the Wangchuck Dynasty.
