The newly constructed Hindu temple in Gelegphu was inaugurated today coinciding with the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. The Temple has Lord Shiva as the main statue.
The 18 decimal land on which the temple stands was donated by the government. The temple was constructed with funds from the government and public contribution. The government contributed Nu. 300,000 and the donation from the public amounted to about Nu. 1.7 million.
A committee of nine members will look after the functioning of the temple.
