His Majesty’s Secretariat organized a thousand butter lamps ceremony at Zilukha Anim Dratshang in honour of late Dr Werner Haring, President of Pro Bhutan, Germany.
Late Dr Haring, an attorney by profession was responsible for all legal matters of Pro Bhutan. The President of Germany awarded doctor with the Order of Merit Cross 1st Class for his outstanding services in the field of humanitarian work in Bhutan in 2017.
Pro Bhutan is a private German philanthropic association founded in 1992. Since then Pro Bhutan has funded projects in areas such as health, education and culture in the country.
