The sixth session of the third parliament will begin on the 24th of next month. During the session, the National Assembly will deliberate on six Bills including the Forest and Nature Conservation Bill of Bhutan 2021, Customs Duty (Amendment) Bill, Tax Amendment Bill and Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, among others. A press release from the National Assembly states that the Prime Minister may deliver the Annual Report on the State of the Nation.

The sixth session is expected to take a month.

“Following the plenary session which was conducted yesterday, with six bills, we will also deliberate on the Third Reading of the Police (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2021, the Third Reading of the Biodiversity Bill of Bhutan 2021 and the Anti-Corruption Commission’s Annual Report 2020. The relevant committees have been working on it. Also, during the joint sitting, the two Houses will deliberate on the report of the Public Accounts Committee Review on Royal Audit Authority’s Annual Audit Report 2021 and Performance Audit Report,” Said Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Tshencho Wangdi.
