The race was in Gasa and the winner is also from Gasa. 30-year-old Yangdon won the Women Race for Climate Change in Gasa today. She ran from the hot spring to the dzong, a distance of 17.5 kilometres in two hours and eight minutes.
PhuntshoWangmo representing Bumthang came second followed by Tashi Chozom from Trashigang.
Twenty women from 20 districts aged between 19 and 51 took part in the event.
The Snowman race Secretariat organized the one-day event to create awareness and generate actions and commitments for climate actions.
