Import and export of goods via Phuentshogling will be stopped during the two-week lockdown. According to a news release from the Prime Minister’s Office, this is following feedback from the town’s residents to enhance the effectiveness of the lockdown.
The Southern COVID-19 Task Force was supposed to facilitate import and export from Monday.
The National COVID-19 Task Force announced a complete lockdown of the town to break the chain of transmission and also to prepare the town for the second dose of the vaccination campaign.
