(UPDATE) Gasa is still cut off from rest of the Dzongkhags. A flash flood on June 21 had washed away the road that connects Gasa with the other Dzongkhags.
Speaking to BBS over the phone, the Gasa Dzongda, Sonam Jigme, said only about 20 percent of reconstructing the road has been complete. He said bad weather and continuous rainfall is hampering the progress of work.
A team comprising of Dzongkhag officials has been sent to the affected areas to assess the damages caused by the flood.
