All schools across the country will conduct and complete the mid-term exam in the first two weeks of July. The second two weeks could be declared as a mid-term break for the students, as per a notification issued yesterday by the Department of School Education under the Education Ministry.
However, considering the current COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country, boarding students will be retained in the school during the mid-term break to minimise the risk of getting unnecessarily exposed to the virus during the travel if they leave home for the term break. The notification states that the ministry will arrange feeding provisions to support all the boarding students during the mid-term holidays.
