A complete lockdown has been imposed in Norboogang Gewog in Samtse after three positive cases emerged from the community this morning. The cases were detected from the mass screening carried out yesterday and on Sunday after four front liners tested positive for COVID-19 from the Mangay Point of Entry.
The mass screening of people in the gewog is also being carried out. According to the District COVID-19 Task Force, all shops and street vendors at Khandothang along the Samtse-Norboogang highway should also be closed until further notice. However, the inter-gewog movement of vehicles through Norboogang Gewog from other parts of Samtse will remain uninterrupted.
