The Thimphu District Court conducted the evidence hearing of the four defendants involved in the case concerning the alleged commission of criminal conspiracy, mutiny, abettor of mutiny and other offences today. BBS tried to get information regarding the hearing but was denied access. Besides restricting media to attend the hearing, the court refused to share any documents or information on the case.

Earlier the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) said the alleged Criminal Conspiracy was to overthrow the Chief Operations Officer of the Royal Bhutan Army. The OAG charged defendant Khandu Wangmo with eight offences, former Commandant of the Royal Body Guard Brigadier Thinley Tobgay with five, Justice Kuenley Tshering with three charges and Pema Gatshel Drangpon Yeshi Dorji with two offences.
