Drinking water shortage in Khar village under Khar Gewog in Pema Gatshel will soon be history. This is because the Desuung National Service Water Project started today in the village.
The De-suups will be constructing one intake tank at the water source and a 20 cubic metre reservoir tank with over 20 km transmission and distribution line to the village. Once the project is complete, it will benefit over 60 households with a population of around 220. The project which will engage 70 volunteer De-suups, will be constructed at a cost of Nu 3.83 M. It is expected to complete by September this year.
This is the second Desuung National Service Water Project in the Dzongkhag.
