Thimphu Thrompon candidate, Kinlay Dorjee

51-year-old Kinlay Dorjee is one of the Thrompon candidates representing the Babesa constituency. Kinlay Dorjee, a father of three is from Babesa. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Roorkee in India. He was the Thimphu Thrompon for the past ten years.

This time, strengthening community vitality is one of his priorities.

“With the developmental activities, there are many challenges like congestion. So, I want to pledge to solve those problems in the next years and make Thimphu a beautiful and peaceful town,” said Kinlay Dorjee, the Thrompon Candidate.

He added that if he becomes the Thrompon, he will also enhance service delivery and make Thimphu, a peaceful city.

“The area where one resides should have a peaceful surrounding with plants and flowers. Facilities like children park should be constructed in places. I also pledge that the issues such as potholes and water shortages will be solved.”

He started his door to door campaign on April 4.
