Chuma Suk Raj Suba from the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) serving at the Pemaling Out Post in Phuentshogling under Chhukha was injured this morning after bravely preventing the entry of miscreants from across the border into the country.

According to a source, at around 4:30 this morning, Chuma Suk Raj Suba along with Chuma Sonam Wangchuk, DeSuup Juna Rai and DeSuup Gita Devi Koirala were patrolling when they saw suspicious movement about 50 metres away from the outpost. The team came across four miscreants entering the country. While intercepting, one of the miscreants hit Chuma Suk Raj Suba with a machete (Khukuri) injuring his three fingers. As per the source, Chuma Suk also retaliated with a stick and the miscreants fled across the border.

The policeman was evacuated to the hospital for treatment. According to our reporter in Phuentshogling, the policeman has undergone surgery this morning and is recovering.
