Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering, yesterday, graced the opening ceremony of the 44th batch Accelerated DeSuung Training Program in Tencholing in Wangdue Phodrang. There are more than 1,700 unemployed youth and former monks undergoing the training in seven training centres across the country.

More than 10,000 DeSuups have been trained in the Accelerated Training program so far.  With this batch, the country will have more than 20,000 DeSuups.

According to the Facebook page of the Prime Minister’s Office, Lyonchhen said that “DeSuups have rendered numerous services across the nation, but the biggest service and responsibility would be the transformation the DeSuups are expected to bring in our societies.”

Lyonchhen also thanked the trainees.
