All 55 primary contacts of the two Bhutanese who tested positive for COVID-19 in Kolkata have tested negative on both Rapid tests and RT-PCR test. The Health Ministry is currently unsure of how the two individuals tested positive in Kolkata. However, the Ministry has requested a retest.

Both 47-year-old patient and the 55-year-old escort are currently in isolation in Kolkata. They tested positive for the Coronavirus before getting admitted at the hospital in Kolkata on Friday.

The patient and the escort, both tested negative on RT-PCR test conducted before leaving for Kolkata.

Health officials say that although it is possible to get infected with Coronavirus within two days, the chances are slim. The officials will have to wait for the re-test result to know how the two individuals tested positive.

The Ministry say other than the two positive cases, most of the referral patients and attendants tested negative and are admitted in different hospitals.
