The movement and import restrictions forced by the pandemic have spurred Bhutan to grow more food. For the first time, Dagana is venturing into mass turmeric cultivation. The District Agriculture sector is targeting to produce over 30 metric tonnes of turmeric from Tsenda-Gang and Tsangkha Gewogs. It is to encourage farmers to grow organic crops and make use of the fallow lands.
