His Holiness the Je Khenpo confers tashi lekdhar to the new Tsugla Lopen, Yonten Lopen and Getsho Lopen

His Holiness the Je Khenpo conferred tashi lekdhar to the newly appointed Tsugla Lopen and Yonten Lopen of the Central Monastic Body, and the Getsho Lopen for Mitrup Lhakhang in Thimphu today morning at the Puna Dewa Chenpoi Phodrang.

48-year-old Trulku Namgyel from Kazhi in Wangdue Phodrang is conferred the Dakyen of Yonten Lopen of Zhung Dratshang. He joined the Central Monastic Body of Pungthim Dratshang after being recognized as the reincarnation of the 65th Je Khenpo, Jamyang Yeshe Singye at the age of seven. At the age of 15, he approached Khaewang Lekshey Jamtsho at Phojoding in Thimphu and received teachings and arrived at the lotus feet of the 68th Je Khenpo at 25 years of age and learned extensively. He also meditated in several mountains like Tokchu and become Drubdey Lopen of Shar Dechencholing and Tshamdrak Monastery. Prior to appointment to the present post, he served as a Getsho Lopen of the Mithrup Lhakhang in Thimphu.

53-year-old Khenpo Karma Rangdrol from Tormazhong under Tsakaling in Monggar is conferred the Dakyen of Tsugla Lopen of Zhung Dratshang. He began his Buddhist study at the age of eight from Monggar Rabdhey. He received vows and teachings from His Holiness the late 69th Je Khenpo Geshe Gedun Rinchen at the age of 16 at Phajoding in Thimphu. He has also received teachings from Khaewang Lekshay Jamtsho during the first establishment of Tango Shedra in 1988 and also served as a Chorpoen (revision teacher). Moreover, he has received his novice monk vows and teachings from His Holiness the present Je Khenpo and also received teachings of Peling lineage from Gangten Truelku Pema Namgyal. He has subsequently served as a Khenpo of Kanglung Zangdopelri in Trashigang from 2003 and served as a Lam Neten of Trashigangas as well as the Khenpo of Kanglung Shedra from 2015.

52-year-old Tenzin Norbu from Talog in Punakha is conferred the Dakyen of Getsho Lopen of Mithrup Lhakhang in Thimphu. He joined the Pungthim Dratshang at nine years of age. He then served as a Jala Umze and received his early teachings from the former Yonten Lopen Tandin Tshewang and Laytshog Lopen Sangay Dorji at Dodeydra Shedra. He also received teachings from Drubwang Sonam Zangpo, the 68th Je Khenpo Nyizer Trulku, His Holiness the present Je Khenpo, Dorji Lopen Kuenley and Drupwang Karma Jurmey. Similarly, he has also received teachings from His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse, Choeying Rimpoche and Gangten Truelku. He has undergone three-year retreat for three times at Pangkarpo, Chari and Pelgiri meditation centres. Prior to the present post, he served as Chari Umze, the Lam of National Referral Hospital and the Guenzhup Neten of Thimphu Tashichhodzong.
