One of the two COVID-19 patients in the country who tested negative on Thursday has tested positive yesterday, while carrying out the second test.
As per the existing COVID-19 testing protocols, all recovering cases have to test negative twice within 24 hours to be moved from the isolation centre.
With this, Bhutan now has one COVID-19 case in the country. The patient is at the Isolation centre in Thimphu National Referral hospital and will be tested again within 48 hours.
Meanwhile, the other COVID-19 patient who tested negative has been moved from the Isolation centre and is currently at a hotel in Thimphu.
