Due to timely response from the police, a fire which burnt down a hut at around 10:50 pm yesterday at Jangsarbu near Paro Rimpong Dzong was contained and stopped from spreading to nearby houses and the Jangsarbu Lhakhang which is just below the accident site.
During the time of the accident, an 82-year-old man was sleeping in the house. He was fortunately rescued by the neighbours but all his belongings were lost to the fire.
Villagers today constructed a temporary hut for the 82 years old fire victim.
